Question re expansion tank

I have a TD6 and it’s losing coolant I’ve pressure tested it and the dial doesn’t drop. I’ve also tested for gases in case the head gasket has gone and that’s fine too.
I’m told it might be the expansion tank when it gets hot and leaks.
I’ve been offered one from a 4.4 V8. Are they the same?
