It had to happen someday

In town today got on a crowded bus thingy, decided to stand as I was only going a few stops.
Then it happened, ...................a young lady sitting next to me asked if I would like a her seat.
I was quite taken aback, I honestly thought it would never happen to me. It's usually me giving my seat up for others.
Needless to say I thanked her but politely declined her offer. Whistle
Getting fitted for a Zimmer frame tomorrow. Thumbs Up

Rolling with laughter

As a regular commuter into central London, I know it will happen to me someday - though as a regular, I' usually in a seat, headphones on, iPad out & ignore everyone......

It's nice to see that some people still have the courtesy to offer up their seats for another.

This "bus" thing you mention.......what exactly is a "bus"? Rolling with laughter

On my birth certificate, my father's occupation is showing "Corporation Omnibus Conductor".......maybe i'll need a zimmer soon, but not one made by Landrover, otherwise it'd fall apart and breakdown at the most inconvenient time! Big Cry

Rolling with laughter

Ah the days of a bus thingy. Previously we had the use of a bus, but because of recent (the last 10 years) the bus service was reduced to once a week. So the potential was to go and get milk get on the said bus to the local town 6 miles away (nearest shop). Wait a week get home on the same said bus then realised the new milk is out of date = repeat above.

Steve.

I travel reasonable regularly with my son who is now 35, and if there's a few of us and not enough seats (bus or train) he always says "let dad sit down" what's more he occasionally buys me a drink Very Happy Geoff
