Did you see

Daily Mail today, man plunges 250ft and survives with only scratches, he's in a RANGE ROVER. Thumbs Up

He wasn't actually in the RR when he went over the edge and dropped 250ft though. It is believed the RR got smashed up when it went through security barriers maent to stop vehicle access.

"Nothing stops RR access" should be the headline. Shocked Ash

Seems to be about right as far as the report goes. Maybe he was dazed in the incident..! I'm sure more will become clear once the rozzers have that chat with him. Confused Ash

Looking at the car, it hasn't just accidentally gone through the barriers, it's hit them at speed. I was initially assuming it was a suicide attempt (why else would you not care what happened to you car) and the guy got it wrong and ended up on a ledge, then found he didn't want to die after all. This seemed like the logical explanation except, if this was the case, would have expected him to have carried on driving off the cliff after crashing the barriers. We'll have to wait and see the real cause I guess. Steve

As I read it he went through the barrier and then 250ft to the ledge, even so the RR looks in good condition, I would still rather be in a RR than enything else in that situation Thumbs Up

Who on Earth allows this kind of language to be used in a newspaper?!?! "badly battered-up" FFS!!!!! Sad
