It's also been a great day for soft top/ cabrios/coupe cabs up here today - I drove back up to Lochgilphead just to return the hotel room key I accidentally took home and was overtaken on the climb up the Rest and Be Thankful by a whole line of open top Aston's, XK8's and TVR's out for a run in the sun, even though the outside temperature was only 8c on the summit they were all touring hood down. When a line of 3 Aston's flew passed the noise coming in through my open sunroof was fantastic - just as well all the sheep that graze on the verges seem to have found better grass to nibble today too! 2018 Mini Countryman Cooper S E All4 PHEV in Melting Silver - it’s whisper quiet in EV and polluter modes

In a way, I miss our previous car- BMW 323i convertible. That roof was down a lot, even in cold weather. I used to go out on the bike in the morning, then jump in the BM and go for a blast in the afternoon!

Sold it for the FFRR. Should have kept it really... 2010 MY Vogue SE TDV8 3.6 Stornoway Grey- fully loaded
