Did a gearbox oil and filter change this morning at work, used some mpm m1375.4 oil , drained and filled then ran with that twice then filled with ravenol 6hp ran then drained then filled again, reset adaptions and now my issues have completely gone!
It is so much smoother! The sump pan was metal and didnt look very old so maybe it has been changed with the wrong oil before?

For the filter, a Landrover one will be plastic, there are others with a metal pan and separate filter, designed to overcome subframe obstruction on Spurts and Discos.

ZF lifeguard 6 fluid is the way to go, though merle and get an oem filter from filtrans which is plastic. Don't try to use any other spec of fluid as it will not be happy.

DO NOT PUT LT71141 in your 6 speed transmission......!!!!! NOOOOOOO There is nothing that can't be fixed with a hammer😜😜
