Downshifting Behavior

Hello, I have a 2015 5.0 Supercharged RR and when downshifting I am getting really high revs with no forward movement. For example, I can be going 30mph and if I floor the pedal enough to downshift it will rev up to 6k but feels like transmission is in neutral. I then let off the pedal briefly, the revs com down, then I can press it again and off I go. I am wondering if anyone else has experienced this or has an idea of why it may be behaving this way. It does not do this in sport mode manually shifting.

Thanks in advance.
