the other day, while I hade car on the ramp, I noticed that my exhaust pipe ware devoted of anu soot.
just nice clean metal. made me rather happy man.
I contribute this to frequent oil changes ( every 5K km) use of 2T oil every 2~3 tank full (1/2 l), and driving style.( )

What's the theory behind adding 2T oil?

The DPF is supposed to eradicate any soot, it's usually how you can tell if a car has a DPF or not by looking at the tailpipes.

That is really impressive.
Mine is clean, but not as clean as yours. I have never added anything to the fuel, in any of my four diesel Range Rovers, but have religiously changed the oil at 6,000 miles or 6 months maximum.
When you highlighted to me that I had overfilled mine on my last oil change I sucked out 0.5l after approx 20 miles and was amazed how quickly it had become very black.

indeed, it stands for zweitakt in german, but has been recognized symbol for 2 stroke engine oil.
Mike, i got my car from the dealer in Milan, Italy with 48K mi. and added 2T oil at 50K mi. 1/2 l on full tank of fuel. in 10 miles of driving it felt as if I have done chip tuning. it was sensasional. so now I ad it every 2~3 tank of fuel to keep things running smooth.

Hmmm. Not sure now.

I fancy trying something - my DPF still needs regenning every 3-4 weeks. I'm thinking about additives. If not 2T oil then maybe Millers DPF or Redex.
