Dog Cage

Can any folk on here who have dogs recommend a decent dog cage that would fit in the boot area of the car ?
I don't mean a dog guard that bridges the back seats / roof - but an actual cage.

I can't let the back seats down due to kids/wife+baggage etc but the cage can use the full amount of the boot space.

There seem to be a number on amazon/ebay etc but hard to tell how good they are or how much room they will take (or if they will fit at all due to the sloping rear window of the car)

thanks

Got a Lintran that has been in the back of my L405's but won't fit in the new Hybrid, d'oh!
£50 to a good home if you collect (near Aylesbury)

I tried cheap ones from eBay but ended up with Lintran. Worth the money and if you get it from the previous poster, a bargain.

For what it is worth, I did loads of research on this earlier this year, looking at all manner of options. Ended up coming to the conclusion that the better ones were very much worth the money, so ended up ordering a Variocage (which we are very happy with).

The offer of a good quality one for £50 looks like a very good option to me

Best dog box for single dog in a L405 is a "TransK9" B34ss or the B33S Although on their website it doesn't mention the L405 being compatible with a B34ss it is, as I have one which fits perfectly.

No rattles, solid as a rock.

I did a lot of looking.

The TransK9 are top quality - if there's a nuclear war, the only things to survive will be cockroaches and TransK9 dog boxes. The lady who runs it is super helpful. There are two sizes that fit the L405 but sadly neither suited my requirements. One is a bit too small in floor plan (I have two golden retrievers who sometimes have to sleep in the boot together), the other too low in height (the dogs can't sit up comfortably). If neither applies, then go for one. The boxes come up on eBay occasionally. Even better, the TransK9 website also has second hand ones - but they go very quickly.

In the end I bought a Barjo second hand off a chap on here.

Very good it is too.

I have combined it with a Boot Buddy liner, a TransK9 tailgate protector and a Boot Buddy perspex dog guard. All dog dirt now is well contained.

I might be selling mine in a few months. I have ordered a hybrid which has a raised boot floor. I'm not sure the Barjo will fit.

If it doesn't, I'll go for the shorter TransK9

Thanks badger thats good price but I think I'm looking for something a little less industrial, I need something to be very portable / collapsable as it won't be in the car all the time.

yeah, I saw that but no way can I justify over £600 for one and I'm not able to wait for when a second hand one comes around as I need it now.
