United Kingdom 2016 Range Rover Autobiography SDV8 Loire Blue
Dashboard brightness

Or rather in textbook speak, "Interior Illumination Intensity".

As far as I can tell, there seem to be two basic levels of brightness for the instruments, depending on how much daylight there is. My problem is that in the half light of dawn or dusk, when the system thinks it's still dark, the speedo etc are dimmed more than I find helpful. Worse, the icon strips either side of the sat nav screen are almost impossible to see.

I realise that there's a physical button (just below and to the side of the steering wheel) where the brightness can be increased but if I adjust that so that I'm happy with the half light brightness, the speedo is way too bright when it's proper daylight.

Seems to me that the sensor which judges between day and night isn't set at the right level of switchover.

Any thoughts? 2016 SDV8 AB
