i'd change the plug/socket connectors..there are loads of cheap jobbys on ebay ... |

How did you connect the new wires to the top of the needle thin pins in the plug?

luckily I didn't need to go that far, only repaired a junction some way down, the cap was just off so I could check them, if it failed up there id probably order one of the official repair kits. Current Vehicles :

Looks like TE AMP Superseal to me ... get them from RS
