England 2011 Range Rover Vogue TDV8 Santorini Black

Promised myself I'd own one 30 years ago, fulfilled the dream and finally purchased mine 3 years & 60k ago. Loved every bit of it.

Since owning It's cost me in excess of £12k all in, tyres, servicing, warranty, insurance, VED etc (excluding fuel).
So, far from cheap & depreciated like nothing imaginable!!
Had a couple of issues with oil leaks & couple of little bits but other than that it's been superb.
Have had issues with dealers but generally had great service from regular service team (although my usual contact is on maternity Big Cry ) her replacement hasn't maintained this level though.

Makes me smile every day I drive it & can't see myself in anything else. I still look out of the bedroom and admire it most days Thumbs Up

My commute is potentially about to double to 130miles a day in the new year so only thing I'm considering is buying another hack for the daily commute as I can't contemplate selling it.

Once you've scratched the itch there's no going back.. Thumbs Up 2011 (MY12) 4.4 TDV8 Vogue

It was fairly open, a bit of traffic at times but mainly free moving motorway, my average speed was just over 50mph. The fuel consumption was brim to brim on the tank, the display showing an ambitious 40.2mpg. I do drive carefully with good anticipation, avoid using brakes so to help the mpg's! BMW i3 Electric Car

Some Dealer's are superb. I have been going to M J Fews for nearly 18 years and they have been unfailingly superb. In 18 years and three rRange Rovers and a Disco we have never had a problem. They are no longer main dealers for selling but are for servicing. I am very glad they are close by. I have no affiliation with them apart from being a customer. So some dealers are good! 2011 Range Rover Vogue 4.4 TDV8

Now on my 5th FFRR. Two P38s, two L322s and currently an L405.

All bought new and kept for about 5 years or 75000 miles. Only significant problem was with one of the L322s where the drain from the sunroof leaked under the passenger seat and ruined the electrics and required a new loom. Luckily covered under warranty.

Otherwise no major issues.

After owning several Range Rovers td6 and TDV8 I can honestly say I’ve not spent huge amounts of money on them.yes I’ve spent money on all the usual candidates to keep them running properly but it is to be expected

Now I will stick my neck out and say they are better built than most other cars as they have that solid feel to them

Would I buy a L405 YES

Am I looking for one currently YES

Once you own a Range Rover all other cars are a bit naff

If it’s goid enough for the Queen onto no6 Range Rover

Everyone needs a hobby

When you say Main Dealers for Maintenance but not Selling....how does that work?

I know the answer appears obvious but it’s not something I’ve come across before.

Mine is due it’s 5year service next March, I’m in Colchester and looking for advice on where to take her Thumbs Up 718 GT4

Basically Independent LR specialists who are LR approved for servicing and maintenance but do not need to spend silly money on Franchise main dealer requirements. They are NOT main Dealers!! You are bound to have some in Essex! All LR cars from 1984

Posted this elswhere but worth adding here as it has been a positive experience - a small leak of fumes from the FBH has been sorted quickly and efficiently by my dealer - I'm glad I had it checked and fair play to the dealership (JCT 600 in Doncaster), they got the car in within two days, gave me an Evoque courtesy car (opinion? - F-Pace in a shell suit) and had it back to me within 4 hours. The service guy I dealt with even apologised that I had received a car with a problem that needs sorting out so soon after taking ownership, which is excellent customer relations.

Thumbs Up to JCT 600
