Vogue SE ordered

Well I have ordered mine today, a 3.0L.

I have had a Disco 5 since Oct last year and it has been what can only be described as “not what I expected” for a number of reasons.

I have always wanted a ffrr and finally am getting one, be a Dec build I think which suits me.

Give us the low down on what made the "5" less than you expected. I placed an order for one last December and had taken it for a five minute road test but pulled out due to business reasons. Glad I did as I relented and bought my FF in June. I'm told there's no comparison despite the press saying how Range Rover like the D5 is.

Plagued with build problems and unreliability. Didnt particularly “do” anything for me as i expected it to.

I can only offer my personal views on the difference between the 2 having done 11000 miles in the “5” and had a ffrr for 2 day test.

Im not sure id go as far as saying “no comparison” but there is a difference. The build feels much better quality (it better be) and more luxurious.

In terms of drive the ffrr is smoother, corners better, rides and deals with bad roads better.

The 5 feels “light” to me like driving frash air, doesnt feel like you sre driving something meaty like my 4 did. i know thats how its meant to be but that meant it felt lacking.

If you consider width wise they are the same, the ffrr slightly longer but the disco taller i think the ffrr has more presence.

The change is incremental but its a big increment and one big enough to make me say yes its worth the change. I can say confidently the 5 is definately not a ffrr having gone back to back with them.

Oh, and the turning circle on the 5 annoyed me compared to my 4 ha ha ha.

Thanks. It mirrors my thoughts on the 5 compared to the FF. 👍🏻

Having just driven well over 3,000 miles in 3 D5 loaners over the last 6 weeks, any professional reviewer that says that the D5 approaches, or equals, the Full Fat clearly doesn’t understand either car Evil or Very Mad It’s really hard to believe that they share as many components as they do. What’s really surprising is that, unless you need 7 seats, the Full Fat is no less practical than the D5 Shocked

My build goes onto the system today. I was deciding on a few things, namely interior finishes before they could do it.

Just had a call from dealer about specifying apple play, which it looks like you can and I have. Its yours for £200.

Thanks everyone.

I'll post some photos when I get a bit of time.

Delivery was not supposed to be for another 2 weeks (as was the build etc) but it all came forward.

I'm so happy with it I can't tell you.

To be fair, a skateboard with a wheel missing and bad bearings would have been an improvement to the D5.

Thats almost true too.
