Deposit put down on this at Evan Halshaw...

https://www.evanshalshaw.com/search/Vehicl...e-YK59YYS/

I’ve put a deposit down on a 59 plate Range Rover 3.6 tdv8

I am unsure about white as I’ve always said it was chavvy but it does look ok to me.

It’s being transported down to Evan Halshaw Plymouth for me to view... the “guarantee” seems a joke but the car doesn’t look bad value for money? 19 L405 4.4 AB + Disco3 pick up + 800BHP Rothmans 911

Ad not showing the price, difficult to assess VFM ? .

When buying mine I looked at that and was going to have it brought down like you are.

But it had one key and think mot history was eventful. Would need to double check that.

Also they originally had it up as a 4.4 Current: 16 my2016 Range Rover l405 4.4 sdv8 Aruba gold & 11 MY2011 RANGE ROVER L322 4.4 TDV8 ZERMATT SILVER

Evans Halshaw - one word - AVOID. Warranty is not worth the paper it is written on and woe betide you if there are any problems which existed prior to delivery (i.e. obvious things which should have been picked up in the PDI).

Thanks for your advice gents, all noted... I’ve decided against for all of the above reasons and I’ll get a refund on my deposit.

Was it really such good value anyway?

I paid £12,500 for my 61 plate 4.4 TDV8. Admittedly the mileage was 20k higher but still...

2016 Range Rover Vogue SE SDV8 Corris Grey

Glad you aren't going for it

That MOT history looks really sketchy - several long periods where the car hasn't had a valid MOT - so means its been sat around doing nothing

Aug 17 - Apr 18 - No MOT
Oct 15 - Aug 16 - No MOT - Amazingly it managed to do 500 miles between failing an MOT in July 16 and passing in Aug 16
May 14 - Oct 14 - No MOT
Mar 13 - May 13 - No MOT

I reckon the MOT history alone suggests its a money pit or at least completely unloved. Current Fleet:-

Yes - I also removed it and took it home with me for good measure.

EH cars can seem quite cheap but from what I've seen there is very little prep put into them whatsoever. If that is what their pre-sales effort is like I don't imagine their after sales service will be any better. Sounds like you had a lucky escape!

My car MOT can have big gaps like that when I worked offshore, not always a bad sign, depends where the car was really, I would imagine theres a lot in Aberdeen with similar patterns. BMW i3 Electric Car
