Pipe and slippers may be required in fact. I hit 40 yesterday! Any other top tips? Range Rover-less at the moment - Pining!

40? Haven't you been told yet that pipes and slippers start at 80 these days, just before you get too old to get sensible insurance quotes! 2018 Mini Countryman Cooper S E All4 PHEV in Melting Silver - it’s whisper quiet in EV and polluter modes

You won't because your letter box will be deluged with junk mail for every sort of cruise/cheap insurance/stairlift/bath with entrance doors going. I think I get more junk from Saga than any other source and I've only be eligible for it for 3 years! They just love to remind you that you are now on the downward slope to senility.................... and with regards to insuring a Land Rover they are about the most expensive I could find - they were really surprised that the owner of a Defender might want to take it off-road and then quoted a premium of more than £2k pa whereas with RSA/Land Rover Insurance I currently pay £325pa and have offroad cover as part of the policy, and offroad recovery is included too. I would just love to see the LRA man's face if he were ever asked to bring his silver D4 out to recover my car from some of the places I take it........ 2018 Mini Countryman Cooper S E All4 PHEV in Melting Silver - it’s whisper quiet in EV and polluter modes

Offroad cover eh?

That's something that had not occurred to me.....

Wonder what my Trade Insurer would think of me driving a stock D3 accross a Scottish Forest Whistle

Gaz, you must have it to attend many events and it isn't cheap - in fact none of the "discount" insurers will even look at your car if you ask for it. That's why I stay with the Land Rover scheme run by Royal and Sun Alliance for both cars. Most insurers will not cover you even if you use an unclassified/unmmarked road these days, and as for going into a field, don't bother asking them they don't want to know. If you have a problem then get hold of one of the well known Land Rover magazines, all the big specialist brokers advertise in them. 2018 Mini Countryman Cooper S E All4 PHEV in Melting Silver - it’s whisper quiet in EV and polluter modes
