The only L322 I owned (and two were from new!!!!) that didn't do this was my 5 litre SC (and it did after they replaced a parking sensor). It's basically thin plastic tabs which eventually wear with movement and - well you can see the end result! Land Rover Addict

Its tricky to remove the rear bumper without at least some of the retaining slots in the bumper breaking and/or the tabs in the concealed plastic trim they slot into breaking, although once the bumper is removed, this can be replaced by drilling the aluminium rivets out and re-rivetting a new part in.
