Has anybody fitted front fog lamps to a L405 VSE? Is the wiring present? Do I just need 2 fog lamps and a new Indicator Headlight Switch Stalk?  Cheers Ian

From memory yes. When I enquired in 2014 it was a lot of money and a lot of aggro which was daft as it wasn’t an expensive option when new . I could not believe at the time that you could buy a car at this value without them fitted as standard .

Only standard fitting on the AB.

If I recall correctly fog lights were a £150 extra on my L405, was plug and play on my P38 as an after fitment, someone’s grabbing the cash 💴 L405, MY14 3.0 V6

I think you may need a bumper loom too I'm afraid...

Do you actually need them ?

Other than to test them, I’ve never used mine - the headlamps are perfectly good enough IMHO

If it’s purely aesthetic then just fit the lamps and forget about the wiring

I don't actually know whether I 'need' them as such as I haven't had the car for long, it was only earlier on this week that I drove it in the dark for the first time, I was amazed they were an extra at build albeit a cheap extra and I thought that if it was just a case of fitting the lamps and switch with maybe all the looms being the same I would do it for a reasonably small cost.

This is my first full fat and coming from Discovery's they tend to have one harness etc fits all and it's just a case of fitting extras and maybe enabling them with the IID Tool and Robert's your mother's brother it works. I have already switched timed climate on my FFRR with the IID tool so some things are possible I just wish I could have it operate from a remote like you can on the Disco's  Cheers Ian

Its bonkers LR don’t fit them as standard - they were only £116.67 ex vat to fit when I bought mine - plus the an extra £25 ex vat for the extra windscreen washer bottle. They then charge £3k extra for Turbines, the pathetic extra time involved in admin fitting the fogs and washer bottle and the tiny sum generated they would be better off fitting as std. 2021 L405 Vogue SE 4.4 V8 DIESEL ~ #17

They were £3750 on my new VSE , but............



I did get British Racing Green and surround cameras as well!! Seems daft, I asked the dealer why, in order to get BRG, you automatically get Fogs and Surround cameras and he didn't know why.

JLR are clearly worried about your eyesight if you order Green

Does anybody have photos of Fog lights mounted in a bumper , a view from the inside to show the mounts etc ?
I understand that the wiring is still required but trying to understand the mounting hardware , brackets etc required .
Any help appreciated
