Thanks Paul for this brilliant write-up, much clearer than the workshop manual. Managed it in around 3-4hrs in total off and on as the weather permitted. (Fitted new cooler as had stripped thread to oil pipe at rear) Having said that plenty of breaks needed as quite awkward at times. I could have done to have been a foot taller! Took for 40 mile round trip this morning and all appears OK.

soooo just got car back having had all belts and pullies changed and was told there was spots of oil in coolant oil cooler is leaking so i need to bring this forward now. for speed i have just ordered a new cooler too so it will be just a swap out rather than a big cleaning job as well. 2012 Vogue 4.4 TDV8 - Current

so i am just part through this job took me 1.5hrs to remove the intake (Got my 11 year old helping) so i reckon it would take me an hour on my own.

Good luck with the job, well worth doing yourself, just remember that when fitting the new one, the bolts don't need to be super tight. WM states 13nm for torque. 2011 TDV8 Vogue SE |
