lol. Any tips for getting the multiplug off?

I can just get my hand on it from underneath putting my arm up. Bit tight going from the top down the side.

Would've been easier had it been rotated the other way with the multiplug going in from the bulkhead side.

Still not much further diagnosing the power steering except to say that it was really really heavy this morning at startup and for the first 10 seconds or so of driving like the pas fluid was too cold or something.

This all seems to have started since i changed the power steering fluid. Whilst i was picking a part up from the local landrover restorers, the fella said that it should be the green CHF. He showed me a bottle of this and said that this is what i should put in.

Went to my local motor factors who didn't have the tradetec but the had another brand of CHF. I spoke to them about it and their computer said to use ATF. I ignored their computer and went with the advice of the guy at the landrover place. So i bought 2 litres of CHF and flushed the system.

As i say the problems with the steering seem to have developed since doing this and although coincidences happen and other components can break at the same time, this morning got me thinking, have i put the correct fluid in after all.

Any advice would be great. Ta much

Chris,
Can't help on the fluid - not enough experience with the different types.

Ref the servotronic valve electronic connector :
For me access was easiest with the suspension raised into off-road mode so the driveshaft is cranked away from the valve to give slightly more space for my hand.
Remember you've got to depress the retaining section on the flat side before you can pull it off. I think its easier if you push the connector on further initially to make it easier to depress / disengage the retaining clip bit. Then I rocked it off gently. Paul,

Heavy Steering.

Hi, having problems with my steering (2003 Vogue), while sitting still you can move the steering with your little finger, but as soon as you engage drive the steering goes heavy. No other symptoms, key still works remotely and no problems with lights.
Any suggestions other than a new Servotronic valve?
