I’ve got a 2010 3.6 with the 6 speed box. Occasionally only when cold (within 5 mins of engine starting) and moving slowly on a flat surface with feather light throttle, I feel the car hunt as if it can’t make its mind up whether it wants the next gear or not. Acceleration or decelerating resolves it instantly. Keeping accelerator position same makes symptoms persist.
Now you might be aware that I’ve had gearbox problems and have had a recon done to my gearbox, then a complete change to a different gearbox. I’m also on my second brand new mechatronic. I’ve done about 10000 miles in the this lot.
I’ve never been entirely happy with it, as I still have an issue when coasting the go to accelerate I get a little jerk, like a slack drive train would be in an old car. I’m told by 2 different places it’s normal or as good as it can be for the age.
Anyway, if you have any ideas on these I’d much appreciate it.
Many thanks
Jon
Ps, I’m on a new engine with new turbos, new EGRs too so quite confident that’s ok... __
