Airbag connection on passenger seat

My airbag warning light comes on intermittently when the passenger seat is fully back. It will go off again if I move it forward a bit (and will stay off unless the set is moved back again). I suspect a loose connector but don't know where to look, and space is limited. Does anyone know where the airbag connector plug is under the seat - or at least what colour it is? I'd like to avoid paying the dealer to push a plug back in if that is the only problem.

Thanks

I have exactly the same problem. I got my local dealer to look at it and no surprises they recommended a 700 quid new wiring loom. Guess what, it came back. I need to get it back to the dealer again, the problem is that it comes and goes.

I was told some story that you have to be careful messing around with this wiring as you could trigger the airbags. Don’t know how true that is as obviously that would be catastrophic....

I'm wary of messing with airbags but figure that in the event this is just a loose plug then rooting about under the seat with the engine off and pushing it back in is unlikely to pose a huge risk (not least because I'll be well away from the airbags whilst doing so). Your experience of a new loom not fixing it is worrying though; what does the dealer say about the failed fix?

They have said they will look at it as they have a 2 year warranty on their work but I have yet to take it back as it is a hassle and it keeps coming and going. I will take it back soon.
