Wheel Tremble

Just feeling a little tremble in the front - even without the wife being there. There's the vaguest of a front near side tremble between 20-30 mph when bearing left and slowly accelerating i.e. coming off a round about. Seems fine once straightened. Anti-roll bar bushes perhaps? Or would a worn bush NOT cause a tremble? Any thoughts welcome. Thanks.

Get underneath with a pry bar and try moving the joints to see if there's any play.

it can cause a judder, however would check the rear discs and callipers for overheating too. my 2007 had a judder which felt like it was coming from the front, but it was actually coming from the rear callipers binding.

worth checking, that one isn't a lot hotter than the other (and fronts) after a run.

in terms of the front, I would have the wheels off and spun on a balancer. I also spent ages trying to track down a different judder up front which in the end was put down to a tyre out of shape, due to a bent wheel rim. spin them on a balancer and have a look at the wheel as it slows down, to check that the tyre and wheel are nice and round. There is nothing that can't be fixed with a hammer😜😜

That's what I think now - not a massive amount of movement but I'll get a second opinion tomorrow hopefully.

If you are getting new lower arms, go for Lemforder or Delphi, worth a few quid extra.

Also important that they aren’t done on a 2 post lift, or at the very least are torqued up with the cars weight on its wheels, if they are done with the wheels hanging the bush is a long way off the neutral position and if torqued like that will be twisted when the car is put back on the floor.

The new arts won’t last long if they are fitted like that and the inner bush will quickly go south!! There is nothing that can't be fixed with a hammer😜😜
