I'm trying to fit a Nextbase hardwire kit, I've run the cable under the headlining and down the windscreen side airbag cover, I'm following the process as shown here: http://www.fullfatrr.com/forum/topic23389....g+dash+cam

I have just fitted same today- Nextbase 412. My airbag switch is on the panel on the side of the fascia. I removed it to get to the side of the fusebox. It was only a question of disconnecting the plug once the panel was free.

I drilled the frame that the side panel plugs into and used a small nut and bolt. I have used a self tapper on a previous ff John

Thanks, sorted now, I earthed it to one of the screws holding the glovebox on, works fine. I was being too gentle with the side panel, it came off fine with a good tug.

All the power you need is in the sunroof switch area, I wired and fused mine in there, much easier and tidier. Many thanks

I bought one of those little 12 to 5v converters added an inline fuse and snatched into the sunroof power as ignition controlled.

Did you bury it behind the front interior lights consul and if so, how did you remove the big plastic cover with the lights and sunroof switches in ? |

I removed the smaller piece, the little vented panel from memory by the roof switch, plus dropped the actual rocker switch out. Then you can do it all externally then push all the bits back in through said panel.
