New to being a rr owner I took the car to Blackpool for its first big run out prior to the run I put o tin of my favourite additive Normfest and off we went car ran great going down but in Blackpool I got eml light , checked the faults with my iid tool and got 4 faults up
1 was to to with the traffic updates from the antenna
2 was I forgot
3 was egr fault - low voltage
4 was a strange one , just said injectors low voltage
So cleared the faults for the drive home , booted the engine on the way back for a couple of overtakes and got a big blast of black smoke then some smoke then no more smoke so I am thinking the normfest has done its job got back home having covered some 300 odd miles with no more dash lights been on motorways , a roads with some town work returned 34 mpg , gearbox is crisp and quick with changes , the engine is responsive and quiet , all the wheels are cool to touch without any noises so fingers crossed I've a good one
Based on this my only plans are an oil change next week and a walk round with anti seize grease and white grease to lub what ever I can lub
Could these low voltage faults be down the dirty connections
Cheers henda
