Electronic Folding Mirrors

Hi all

Having a problem with my elec folding mirrors. When I press the button they fold in fine but then just move straight back out again. Have been told by garage I bought the car from that they need a small "clip" replaced that holds the mirror in the folded position. Does this sound familar to anyone or could there be another problem?

Thanks

Thanks Scarey.
No mention of this elusive "clip". Me thinks it doesn't exist and the mirrors need replacing. FFRR TD6 HSE

there's mention of a ''little metal tang'' in one of the posts , could this be the same as the clip? ... - .- -.

Microswitch inside the mirror that tells it when its home will have come loose or its "doo-hicky" is bent.
