Hi guys, hope someone can point me in the right direction with this. A couple of days ago whilst driving, my radio sound went off. The head unit is still picking up stations. The CD still changes and shows the tracks are playing. Just no sound. Can anyone say if this has happened to them and what do I look for and where is it situated. Cheers all.

Have a look for water ingress in the left hand site cubbyhole in the boot. The amps etc are in there.

Hi and thanks for the reply. I,ve had a look right down to the bottom of the space where the units are mounted and all looks dry.

Check all the contacts for signs of corrosion, furry deposits or damage.

Hi Everyone. I posted this thread back in March of this year when the audio system on my 2006 L322 decided to stop working. Everything looked like it was working on the touch screen (change channel on radio, play and change CD, satnav navigating) but there was no sound from anything.
Checked all the usual - plugs for security and cleanliness, damp, etc - but all was ok.
After" going round in circles" I took the plunge and bought a used amp from fleabay. The original took a bit of time to remove as it sits right at the bottom of the rear well. Fitted the replacement temporarily to see if it worked, and lo and behold got sounds back in the fatty!
If this helps fine but if you do decide to buy from EBay, don't put "Range Rover" before your search, only put in the mpdel number number. I say this because the amp I sourced is also fitted to Discovery's of the same age.
The one I bought was from a Discovery and it fitted straight in, and no need to interface with the car itself, just plug and play.
