- don't drive like a maniac for the first 500 miles BUT
- don't treat it with kid gloves either

I've got a 400 mile round trip one week after collection anyway, so that will probably suffice to run it in.

It's probably already been thrashed off the production line if it's anything like Nissan up here, heard some right horror stories from mates that have worked at Nissan and shuttling the cars on and off the ships at the ports, we're talking cars thrashed from cold the minute they leave the line, there's a random selection of cars that get sent round the test track for high speed runs straight from the line to check QC.

In fact, one guy who I was speaking to last week was telling me that the new Micra that's being launched soon, Nissan are having problems with the 3 cyl engines knocking so instead of rebuilding the affected batches of engines, they're using some very expensive oil to mask the noise.

But, as said, don't go stupid with the new car and keep the revs and engine load sensible for the first few hundred miles and it should be fine. 2006 Mercedes CLS

Yup Santorini have had enough of Stornaway and think the FF is more suited to the Black.

Only thing i will do with mine for the first 500 miles is try to avoid short journeys where the car never gets warmed up Far to many gone...
