I'm 105 kg** and I stand on it whilst loading my spare wheel onto the roof rack (when the drawers are in for a camping trip, the spare is inaccessible under the floor). Just make sure your tailgate cables are not rusted - they often are.

LR quote 300 Kg for the D4’s tailgate (which is pessimistic), and 300 Kg for the D5’s inner “tailgate” (which is laughably optimistic), while I’ve yet to see a figure for the FF’s. I’ll bet it’s 300 Kg as well. |

Phew I’m ok then... as long as the dog isn’t sitting on it at the same time! Thanks Filters are in fact so good that in certain circumstances, when the ambient air is already polluted, a diesel car will tend to extract more particles from the air than it emits. Emissions Analytics worked with........etc etc He who dies with the most toys wins... |

One of the options you can spec these days is "Event Seating" which gives you two fully upholstered chairs that slot over the rear tailgate so they clearly expect people to use them for sitting on. |

The original classic used to state that the tailgate could support the full 500kg payload on the tailgate but the straps were steel straps.
