Drove fatty onto my drive last night and went to select reverse. Car stayed in drive. No matter where lever put car stayed in drive. Lever felt quite slack. Turned engine off and of course can't restart. After trawling through forum last night, and this morning, have concluded that linkage under car needs a good dose of looking at. I have checked again this morning and noticed that dash is showing D even though lever is in P position. Just to make matters worse I lowered car into access height so a fair bit of jacking and use of blocks is going to have to occur before I can squeeze under. Previous cars:

Should have done really. I'll bang some on next time under. I'll have it in off-road height then! Previous cars:

You've shamed me into it Stan. Didn't have to jack up this time but still a squeeze. No photo as I didn't want to get my phone greasy and I'm fed up of wriggling under the car! Previous cars:
