If you want a mk4 DVD sat nav might be worth a look.

http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?Vie...TQ:GB:1123

I've contacted the chap and offered him £325 inc delivery and he's accepted ( this is direct to paypal so avoiding ebay fees but with this you lose ebay protection but still have PP protection. He says he has another unit available.

Mines being posted Monday, due to arrive Tuesday.

Providing it turns up i think its cheap, so if you want one mail him an offer.

Obviously if they never turn up, you pay your money, take your chance. I don't know this chap from adam.

I repeat i've not recieved mine. hope mine turns up though. Seems to sell alot of Bm bits.

No, the upgraded FW on a CD. READ INSTRUCTIONS CAREFULLY AND FOLLOW. You can 'brick' a nav. Maps are burned to DVD and used while driving.

EDIT: the READ, etc. is a link, BTW. Read all you can before messing with this.

Levasit= only been looking for week but £370-400 seems usual plus postage.

The orig units seem to go for 150-200 so at 325 (£125-175 outlay overall) the upgrade seems reasonable.

I may be wrong though and could be expensive as only just started researching!!

Hi Nick,
Sorry - yes it was just a joke. I marvel at how someone can put an upside-down pic on an ebay auction... Rolling Eyes

The owner of the site you've downloaded from, Matt Stevenson, is a sometime poster here. I can't imagine that he'd do anything malicious (quite the contrary, actually) - he seems like a fine guy. Just out of curiosity - how did your friend determine that the files are corrupted? If they really are corrupted, I'd try a DL again or contact Matt. It's always possible his site was hacked (though I highly doubt this too). I'd really like to know why he thinks the files are not OK.

Alternatives are buying the maps:
http://www.bimmernav.net/dvdmap.html
http://www.bmw-maps.co.uk/ (I believe Dan was unhappy with these guys, tho)

And you could have your friend modify a FW file (or do it yourself - and add a naked lady splash screen if you like Cool ). Search for NavTweak, the prog needed to do this. You'll also need the BMW V32 FW file. Here:
