Unfortunately I guess you signed some sort of paperwork when you bought the car? This would have had the T's & C's of the warranty there, of which the responsibility is on you to check.

No, as said before. Approved warranty is not the same as 3 year from new one. Even if sold by a Land Rover dealer. |

It would depend on when you bought it, and what if any conversation you had when it went in for repair.
