Presumably your new wire comes from the starter relay so is that relay operating? |

Hi Graeme's, no, I simply ran a wire from the red in the fuse board to the trigger. All other wiring is untouched. I took that info from the long post on here re starter issues

I think I recall reading somewhere that there’s a 400A fuse under/near the battery. If it’s this high at 400A, I suspect it’s supplying the starter. So might be worth looking at circuit diagrams and see if this fuse exists, and if it does you can check that. |

Which red wire in the fuse panel and under what circumstances does it have power? I didn't run an alternate wire so I didn't look at what would be involved in doing so.

Hi graeme, firstly thanks for your help. I have resolved the issue purely by chance. I swopped the relays and the fault remained. I checked ll fuses and all still fine. In the end, I must have had a bad contact on the multi plug with the 4mm red wire. It started straight up and code has cleared. All I did was fiddle with the connector. I'm now reluctant to modify the wiring in case something fails again. Thanks |
