Question about RSE

OK, a question to those of you with VSE and RSE option fitted.

I was considering this on the next FFRR but having played with a fully integrated system this weekend (Aston Martin system) I am decidedly underwhelmed by it. (RSE not the Aston). The thing is unable to change DVD's from the remote so has to be done from the dash. Also, actually selecting the movie to watch from the main DVD menu can only be done from the remote, not the dash. Irritating things but a royal PITA when on the move.

Also, the slightest hint of a mark on the DVD and it skips all over the place. DVD's which play fine in my lad's portable refuse to play in the car.

So, on the FFRR, can it all be operated from a front seat? Is the actual DVD unit a decent one which isn't overly sensitive to marks on discs? And finally, can the disc selected be changed via the remote?

Thanks in advance

Dom

In answer to your questions. Yes you can change DVD's from the front seat, it is not over sensitive, I've had no problems and I'll have to check if you can change DVD using the remote..but I'll be surprised if you can't.

Mine is a MY2006 so I can't comment on the latest RSE system.

I'd still buy the Aston though Very Happy Current MY2020

Mine's a 2008MY, I've not done much sitting in the back but I know you can select discs from the remote. The only thing I found a bit wanting was the reception on the wireless headphones, sometimes a bit patchy even though they are 2 feet from the receiver.

But, on a long drive back through France this time last year the wives sat in the back watching a film and it was all nice and quiet in the front! Discovery 4 HSE

Cool then Very Happy Thanks !! Vogue SE it is.

I'd buy the Aston as well but sadly I have to give it back on monday. I borrowed it for SWMBO's 40th birthday and I have to day we've had a lovely time with it. Being the Rapide it's a practical 4 seat Grand Tourer and that V12 does make the cheeks ache with all the grinning.

Don't suppose anyone's got 140 grand they can lend me ??? No, thought not Big Cry Big Cry
