L322 oil leak

Well. I’m fed up. Having had an oil leak it’s been in three times to have it sorted with no luck each time. The leak was (was, note) from the left hand rocker cover and each time the fix failed. Then they observed that the bolt sleeves were hardened and preventing the cover pulling down -now the leak is fixed, hurrah! And I had the a/c condensor changed to sort a leak at the same time - hurrah and exultations! I was cool on the way home.
Why fed up then you may wonder? After a forty mile trip home in 30 degree heat with many traffic stops the last mile was done in second gear. Why? Is it the oil cooler blocked or something more sinister? It’s done 79k, 2002 L322. It has had the gearbox oil changed at 73k and again at 78k to flush any rubbish and had Dr Tranny on the last change as I think the torque converter was begining to drone (that stopped imediately).
Waiting for it to cool before trying again, thoughts on being stuck in second gear welcome. By the way, it wouldn’t change on manual either.

Could be radiator blocked up in the bottom 6-10 rows (this area feeds the oil cooler)
or the oil cooler itself bunged up
or gearbox just had enough...

You don't say what engine/gearbox you have, please complete your profile Thumbs Up .

Thanks for your thoughts Joe90. I believe it was hot gearbox oil which suggests the oil cooler is blocked as when I took it up the road this morning everything was fine. That’s another job then!
It’s a 2002 L322 4.4 petrol. I can’t see how to update my profile on tbe mibile version - can it be done or is it best done on the pc version?
