RR Sport wheels on L322

Hi, I fancy replacing the standard 20" wheels on my 2012 Westminster & was looking at some from a RR Sport but I wanted to keep the standard tyre size of 255/50. I've read posts on here saying the 255 will be too narrow on the 9.5" (?) sport alloys but when I was checking an online wheel/tyre calculator it states a 255 is ideal for this width wheel. Is there something I am missing ?

As I said I have searched & all I could find was people saying they don't fit, my question was, am I missing something as on line tyre calculators say a 255 fits a 9.5" rim ?

Theoretically, you can, but you'd be on the limit - personally, I'd go with wider tyres.

Cheers, I'd seen that. Just checked a few more online calculators & all say a 255 is ideal width for 9.5" rim yet all the posts on here say you need 275 tyres, just wondered why most people posting here contradict this ?
Interestingly the calculators say a 255 is max width for 8.5 rim & max for 9.5 rim is 275 ?

I read the same as you that they are too narrow, and will have said that on here. Though as you say, it’s on the edge....

Think I’d go with the same tyre size as the sport width wise, but that’s just my choice if it was me.

I would use the 275 instead of 255 for the simple reason of curb damages to the wheels.
255 which is a bit narrow gives no protection for the wheel. Range Rover 5.0 SC AB 2013 L405 Orkney grey with Santorini black roof

I've got 295s on my 9.5 sport wheels. They look just about right to me. RR History

Cheers for the replies, I'd prefer to keep to original 255/50 as I've just bought a full new set. Will keep a look out for some 8.5" wheels. I don't mind the original Westminster wheels but they're a pig to clean Very Happy
