Thats what valet mode is for. Why on earth would you leave your 405 for someone else to drive up the M60.

If you can't afford airport parking or a taxi stay at home. 405 AB exec seats Baltic and Cirrus

Valet mode would not prevent this happening at all.

All Valet mode does is lock the loadspace and glove box, there's no speed limiters or geofencing technology there.

You give them your keys and they can do whatever they like with your car, hence I've never ever done meet and greet or valet parking. Discovery 4 HSE

^^^+1, I never give the keys and I park my own car away from the others, including at the airport - or close to nice/cared for cars. l=Oo\________/oO=l l:OolΞΞΞΞΞΞΞloO:l

My apologies - thought it also restricted performance. just re-read the HB and yes valet mode just locks things. 405 AB exec seats Baltic and Cirrus

To be fair, they used a non-approved operator, which is asking for trouble. Of course that doesn't excuse what happened, but Gatwick for example has a list of approved operators. I used one such recently (I know, I know, but I was persuaded by my mates who assured me it would be fine) and they drove the car 28 miles and left toenail clippings on the car's floor! But, they didn't crash it or scratch it, and they gave us a full refund.
But, in general I agree and wouldn't use meet & greet ever again.
