This has me a little confused, have you tried each injector with a leak off test.. i.e. 6 pipes in to 6 vessles? I have had similar symptoms with one injector failing which didn't throw up any engine management lights. I don't know if it threw up any codes as we were in Italy then France when it finally died (Couldn't get the parts in Italy long enough to hang around). Im may case it was injector number 4 (numer 1 being at the front of the block) There are two pumps, Low pressure and high. Sound like your high pressure is ok from your results. Do a search on Low pressure pump, its been discussed recently but I've just finished a night shift here in blighty so I can recall the finer detail. 2010 Disco XS TDV6, 2009 Freelander 2 GS Previous Landrover products -1990 110 TDI CSW, 2003 TD6 Vogue - RRC TD Vogue, RRC v8 Fleetline, Disco ES V8 LPG, 101 Ambulance "Morph", 1964 SIIa Auto Powered by Jag 4.2 Lump - "Percy". |

Yes, nothing is coming out of any of the returns at all. I pulled all the little pipes off and ran them into a bucket, then cranked it over. The only preasure anywhere around there seems to be coming BACK from the final return pipe just after the front injector, where ever that goes to (somewhere under the inlet manifold towards the mechanical fuel pump.
I think there are 3 pumps, one in the tank, (replaced about 100,000kms ago) one below the cover under the tank (brand new genuine) and one on the engine driven off the timing chain. I cracked No. 1 injector and there is preasure there, but not as much as i would expect from an injector line. unfortunatly the fittig on the front of the rail is in a bad position and i cant get my gauge on there to test line preasure.
No. I think if the td6 was released in usa they would be a bit more help. I only found this forum through a link archived on the AULRO. Andy hardrange.com |

Ok sound like an injector pump issue then. I can't recall where the sensor is that shows you with 3 bar.. maybe the blockage is further down the line. 2010 Disco XS TDV6, 2009 Freelander 2 GS

Try the leak off teast again to be sure.. then consider swapping injectors about, and again try the leak off test. Also check the injector harness.. there must be a big plug on it somewhere I guess.

Injector wiring harnesses are prone to breaking down with engine heat as well. Maybe you can unhook and do a continuity test on? Part of the harness failed on my 05 TD6 and went down onto 4 pots leaving me stranded 100 miles from home. Anyway what I thought might be a big bill turned into an hour at indies and a new harness piece - £95 all told. |

I had a test light on the injectors today, all were fine. I could hear them clicking too. Andy I am yet to do the return hose with the engine running. hardrange.com |
