Super Super Extended Mode? Anyone tried this?

He says it works on Discovery, Sport and FF's. Anyone tried it?

Will definitely be trying that next weekend.
Will be quite useful in central London!
I'll just need a lump of 4x2 Cheers, Greg

yes that's why the guy in the video is using a lump of 4x2 - it makes the car think it's grounded.

All very cool, I want to get some air under my FF! Cheers, Greg

^ I would say that stretching the bags will put extra load on any rubber that is starting to get brittle. Any minor cracks may tear. Seems daft to lose a bag for a bit of fun its only designed to be used in emergencies.

i agree with Gary...i've read a few previous threads on this and the consensus is that the bags 'could' potentially pop.... ... - .- -.

Observations:

He only put one piece of wood in the boot bag ?

No spinners on the wheels?

Would have thought super super distended access (bumpstop) mode was the coolest thing you could do to your LR in USA ? .

Raising the vehicle to maximum only requires higher volume of air in the air-springs, not higher pressures. If the rubber is brittle then its going to fail anyway with normal movement. However the compressor will get hot from working for so long.

Ground clearance in off-road height is 283mm

Does anybody know what the maximum ground clearance is underneath in super super extended mode?

. Cheers, Greg
