Is bonnet switch you refer to like this?
Mine keeps doing the beeping. But not when on battery charge (bonnet closed), or after a long run. I put a Ctek charger on is, and after 26 hours the charge was still going, so I assumed my 7 year old battery is duff even though it starts immediately every time.
Also, it usually does it twice, mid afternoon and then not again as far as I am aware.
I have bought a new battery but not yet fitted as I thought I would double check on what is the cause before just changing the battery.
If it is a simple switch, that is going to be a lot cheaper than a battery replacement.
