TD6 no start fuel pressure issue

Hi all. I bought my 04 TD6 as a non runner, so expected a bit of work. Athough there's more than I anticipated!

So far:

I've removed the HP pump and removed the nozzle to find the o-ring and spacer split. I've replaced them, the outer ring and gasket. Nothing changed!

I couldn't connect to the ECM, so I was working blind and getting frustrated. I bought allcomms and cleared out all the faults I could. I can now communicate with the ECM. Codes below.

The battery died before I could get cranking pressure. Static low pressure is 2.5 bar, with high pressure reading 0. Also it won't start with a puff of easy start.

ECM codes
1260 fuel pressure control
3515 air conditioning output????
1190 fuel rail plausibility
Glow plug device or relay

I thought I'd checked all the relays? All the fuses are good.

Any advice would be great.

You should have 3.5 - 4 bar on the low pressure side with just the ignition on, low pressure could be down to a failing low pressure pump/blocked filter or leaking injector.

Service history suggests the filter was last changed about 20k ago. I'll put a new one on and see if there's a difference.

right , I happened to be at my mates garage y.day where they had a non stating 04 FF on the ramp , after checking the fuel pressure at the rail ( 1 bar) they renewed the leccy pump under the rear pass door , no change , then checked the in tank pump pressure and found it was ok , somewhere near the leccy pump there is a T piece which they think has some type of valve in it ? took that out of the set up and it fired straight up , not saying this is your fault but I thought I would suggest it if you find the pumps are all doing what they should pal

Thanks for the tip. It's the quirky things like that spin your head. I ordered a new inline,as it's easier than faffing around with flow rates. The diesel pump guy said 3.5 bar up is where I need to be.

I have just had problems with the fuel supply, turned out to be the low-pressure pump even though I was getting 4bar pressure from the sensor ontop the fuel filter. This video might be of interest, the guy is using BMW IPNA diagnostics at 1st.
