Help! Gasket cover change went wrong

So, I attempted the gasket cover change, however, . So I started to put the cover back on and replaced the bolt gaskets.

When tightening one of them, the part the bolt connects to has sheered off inside the bolt.

What do I do? I hope someone has an idea with this.

Cheers in advance

It might help if you can show a photo of your problem.

Apologies,.

See pictures. I have tried to grip the set screw and unscrew it. But can't get it.

Thanks again in advance

Have you got a couple of nuts of the same thread as the screw? You could try locking them together on the thread and then use a spanner on the lower nut to undo it - that often works. L322 TDV8 4.4 - current

It wasn't twisting at first. But eventually got it with the mole grips.

All sorted, bought an M6 bolt and cut to size. So all back together. Started her up and very very rough on idle.

Spark plugs were not out, only coil packs. I presume putting coil packs back there is no need to put them back in the same slots as they come out?

Cheers

All sorted, well one half done. Found a pipe that cracked and came off when starting, breather hose. So replaced and working fine.

Not easy to get the rocker cover off or on when you have LPG due to the additional coolant hoses.

Other side will be next week, going to change the PCv valve and any hoses around it.

Cheers for the help again.
