Eve, Otty Memory Foam Matresses

Hi all
Strange one, but thought I’d ask incase. Has anyone got or tried the new memory foam matresses that are everywhere at the moment. All advertise they are “better than the next” and all have 100 day trial.

Is time to change my waterbed and so considering trying one. All seem very similar but Otty has springs in too. All about £700 for a super king too

Not too many in the stores to try.

Cheers

I kinda imagined them to be like a big sponge but the couple I have laid on ,eve and Simba advise they arnt like that anymore. Just everywhere you look they seem to be the in thing at the moment as new ones coming out each day.
Most have great reviews and Harrods, Which, Good Living all seem to rate a different one.

They all give 100 nights 100% refund if not happy. Accept, some days your the pigeon, some days your the statue!

We have a couple of Eve mattresses - I find them very comfortable but I like a firm bed , not hot or sticky so that’s prolly related to Stan not the mattress Laughing .. there was a smell from the plastic packaging that cleared after a couple of days
All round good experience here , although a Tempur I had previously was I recall more comfortable , but it was 3 x the price 4.2 SC - sold , now bought back

We did some in shop trial at Dreams and the one we both liked was around £2k for a mattress!. I've also seen the numpteen adverts at the mo and the one that caught my eye was with a Tennis player bouncing and the stack of balls not moving, now this seems to me utopia married to a woman who does crocodile rolls and dream wrestling in her sleep for fun, whilst I'm launched onto the floor. Best described as this thing that has been electrocuted wakes up and say did you sleep well dear. I'm left doing my blood shot eyes Christopher Lee impression having only got a few hours sleep.

We've had a Tempur mattress and Tempur pillows for a few years now and wouldn't have anything else.

Not at all hot and night and, surprisingly, we have never needed an electric blanket when it's really cold.

However, a good quality mattress and pillows needs to be matched to an equally good quality duvet. Si. <This is my name.

Cheers guys.

Tried the Eve today in store and does feel nice. Kinda torn between Eve or Otty. Otty has some springs in otherwise the same thing I think.
Yeah the temper look good but as say 3 times the price.

Still have the option to go soft sided waterbed. Have had a hard sided (basically the mattress sits in a wooden frame) but I’m getting to old to climb out of the frame!!
Hence considering a go with the memory foam Accept, some days your the pigeon, some days your the statue!

My wife uses memory foam pillow and whenever i have “pinched” or ahem USED her pillow it always makes me TOO HOT!

I don’t know if this is the same issues found with these type of mattresses?

Another vote for Tempur.

Fantastic for my back and neck. They can feel a little warmer than a traditional mattress but never been an issue for me. Bish.

Spoke to manager of John Lewis in Oxford street who said that many try and always fail to match tempur

We bought a Simba mattress last year, mainly for the 100 day trial and also we couldnt fit a normal/sprung super-king sized up around out staircase, and the Simba came boxed (but it did weigh a tonne!!)

After couple of days the smell of packaging/vacuum packing went and its the best mattress we've ever had

It looks like Eve/Simba/Leesa are possibly all the same, except for the colour trim?

Anyway, we love it but it is a firm mattress, but suits us perfectly

Highly recommended Thumbs Up
