If I was you, I would take it to a reputable detailer who will remove the swirls and get your car to the condition it should be from the factory.

Thanks Lyonhead - Although Sorry, I think I mislead you........ The car's new to me but 18 months old and 12k miles on the clock - However, I'm certain they caused the swirls as their was dust from the polish after buffing still visible on the car. |

Thanks Lyonhead - You're right, likewise, in the sun those swirls are the only thing my eyes will see! |

A DA polisher and autoglym super resin polish will sort it as long as you set aside a full day to do it. Just takes lots of time and patience. Failing that any reputable detailer will be able flat and polish it properly.

Thanks Paul - Do you think a specialist detailer would be the best option? |

Possibly, especially if you wanted it to look perfect. I know I would if I owned that car!

Complain to stealer - whether it gets you anywhere is another point.

I'm with GAC23 on this one. I would not accept swirls on a car costing this sort of money, but I suppose it depends on the dealership's willingness to be reasonable.

Consumer rights act states that goods should be of satisfactory quality. They are not, explain this to the dealer. They have to rectify to issue without causing you significant inconvenience. Secondly you could request a payment and then address the issue yourself. Most deals opt for this because it ends their involvement the issue. |

Thanks guys, really appreciate your advice - I'm going to have to do something, it's a real mess. Also there seems to be some sort of film on the car which is creating a dust when wiped or wet..... It's obviously something they've applied before using the "swirl machine"
