Quick question, is it ok to lift car on rear diff, before fitting stands,

That is something I definately would not do, if I want to lift the rear I use a 3 tonne trolly jack fitted with a anti - damage cover on the pad and locate it as close to the roadwheel as possible on the lower suspension arm lifting each side in turn.
Im sure there are other methods that members favour but certainly I wouldnt subject the diff casing to that sort of loading. Its a expensive piece of kit to have to replace , especially if its an electronic one.

Ok Thanks, its just that I spotted one being raised that way in a local garage and thought at the time that could be a bit dodgy.
