Front Air suspension went bang

My front suspension is all over the place at the moment. I cannot clear a fault code with the IID tool and I managed to get it to “lock” in the correct height.

Today, without warning the front end raised up to off road height whilst I was driving. Before I had chance to stop and clear the fault again it went bang on the right side and collapsed.

I’ve just seen replacement air bags (without the strut) for around £80 on the ebays. Last time I replaced the struts was 5 years ago and if I recall, they were not available to buy seperately then.

Can anyone vouch for these replacement airbags?

I can't advise on eBay bags. I was going round and round on these different aftermarket bags or struts and felt it best to go with the struts island4x4 sells that are OEM unbranded Delphi. Couldn't get any better price local or shipped here to US.

When I drove it home from work, it didn’t feel that bad to be honest. Last time they blew 5 years ago, the car dropped right down onto the bump stops and was rigid when driving. I managed to get it home and it was only slightly down and not a hard ride like I was expecting. At one point I’d convinced myself it hadn’t blown!

I replaced my fronts a couple of months ago. When inflating from deflation the fronts had quite a pop or bang. I though it blew or at least blew the line in. Then it seemed to settle in.
