Fog lights Ballast?

Hi all

By process of elimination I reckon the Ballast that’s fitted to foglight wires when I fitted DRL’s has packed up putting up a check fog lamp error. .
I’m trying to find a replacement but all are located in China and delivery in April!

Anyone know what else it could be called or what ohms etc I need?

I’m searching T 50W 8RJ.
Can find 6ohm ones in UK £8.99 for 2. Are they the ones?

Cheers Accept, some days your the pigeon, some days your the statue!

instead of the resistor you could wire up a small bulb or if you have an iidtool you can switch off hot& cold monitoring.. ... - .- -.

As always, yous are stars. Thanks so much.
Just tried replacing the resistor with a side light bulb and holder but still same error on dash. Is making connection as lights up when turn fogs on!

Checked it with Icarsoft and was originally “right hand foglight”. Swapped the resister with other side and the fault moved with it... so presuming it’s that.

I’ll order the ones you’ve linked

Thanks so much guys.

Can't switch off cold monitoring on '02-'05 models .

I occasionally get either a 'Check Front Fog Light' or 'Check Dip Beam Light' when I turn the lights on of a morning. It only happens when it's really cold (e.g. -2C this morning) so I think it's just the cold weather affecting the resistance of the wiring, as both the Fogs and Main Lights work perfectly.
Just another of the Fattie's foibles!!!

Mines now every time I start or turn off. As say, I swapped ballast and the fault (according to icarsoft) swapped with it. Just waiting on replacement to arrive and will update! Accept, some days your the pigeon, some days your the statue!
