leaky rear washer - external leak

Hello everyone,
I have unblocked the rear washer jet.
I then discovered a leak from the wiper motor which was on the inside and followed this advice (thanks AlanM) which fixed the internal leak.
http://www.fullfatrr.com/forum/topic9792-30.html

The car seems to have long had a leak from the outside though - water tracks visisble on the glass, and eventually I noticed that water was almost continually dribbling down the outside of the rear windscreen.

I then lost the tiny nozzle from the center of the water feed whilst doing the third attempt on the rear parking camera. But i am certain it was leaking externally before this.

Has anyone got a link or a suggestion as to how I can now stop the external near-incessant dribble ? I suspect there is a non-return-valve that may have a play in this? Happy to buy a replacement motor if needed, but if I can fix this with another 50p o-ring that would be great.

Thanks
Mark

Hi Mark.

There is certainly a non-return valve that you should be able to track back on the feed pipe quite easily. Even if it's not the cause of your problem it clearly can't be working so worth replacing for a few pence and 15 minutes work.

Hope you get it sorted. 2012 TDV8 Westminster in the New Forest
