Awesome see stuff I didn’t know. How about the 4.2? I would think that would be what I ended up getting next Current stable:

I have not heard any horror stories but any car could be bad if not looked after previously, can't really tell you much but i'm sure others on here will be able to |

The oil cooler issues on the 4.4 TDV8 doesn’t take the engine with it, whereas turbos stuffing up on the 3.6 TDV8 tends to end up with the engine lunching on them and needing replacement. Some say the 3.6 issues are less pronounced than on the RRS as there is more cooling space under the bonnet of the FF so less heat issues.

You could map out the egr's on the 3.6 TDV8 and worry not. Dodgy EGR's start the turbo failure chain reaction. 2007 Vogue TDV8 in Zermatt Silver with Charcoal |

My 3.6 tdv8 has been great, now with over 270,000km. It’s been smooth, powerful, reliable, and relatively economical. However I’ve read good reports about the 4.2 SC and AJ 4.4 NA. Especially the later terrain response models.
