For your information noworries4x4, I believe all the sets of bulbs manufactured for Grofus were sold, but as at the 7th July I and one other forum member who placed an order had not received them.

I don't know about the other guy, but the two sets of bulbs I paid for have still not been delivered and I'm out to the tune of £14.50. Grofus appears to have gone off grid as my last two PM's to him have gone unanswered or unread so I don't know if there is a problem here, whether he is ill, on holiday, or what.

He did have difficulties with the Irish Post Office and the envelope size used which confused their automatic sorting machines when he first offered to supply these LED bulbs in January this year, but I thought this had been resolved. Peter Kemp

A bit more info for you noworries4x4,

You have probably seen the photo's of the particular bulbs in earlier posts on this topic. Stan, the Site Moderator asked if these could be provided.

You can find similar LED bulbs for sale on a well known auction site but they are about 35mm long and a very. very tight fit in the RR reversing light lens.

Grofus's are made by the supplier to his own spec and are only 25-26mm long and fit easily. He said that they were made using 15 Samsung SMD2016 LED Chipsets. 510 Lumens, approximate equivalent of a 26w car bulb.

I bought 2 sets and they went missing too

I can't blame Grofus of course, it was 'simple' postage after all, still a bit annoying though.

Many thanks for responding. You must be the other purchaser whose bulbs had not been delivered when I last heard from Grofus. There were just the two of us. He did promise to "make some enquiries at his end", to quote him, if we had still not received our orders.

Did you get your money refunded?

I paid by interbank transfer as requested by Grofus, which of course is a stupid thing to do. At least with PayPal I could have got my money back.

As I indicated in my post, Grofus has gone silent and is not responding to, or now reading the PM's I have sent him, the last PM was on the 10th August.

I did not want to raise this matter on the general forum but I have had no other option in view of no further communication from Grofus. I don't want to think ill of another FFRR owner and forum member but as you say, it is rather annoying.

I'd assumed he'd gone on holiday, and was waiting patiently.

He'd suggested he could do something about the postal sevice, but I agreed the way it should be sent, and that comes with a risk, just the way the cookie crumbles some days, as I say I bought 2 sets, someone somewhere has some nice LED's that belong to me
