Security

Just found my first full fat. Picking it up shortly and was wondering if there were any views on the best way to stop it getting nicked! I'm aware of using faraday bags to protect the smart keys from 'relay' attack but was wondering if members thought more old school solutions e.g. steering locks have a place.

TIA

depends which year model you are getting...the main problem is with the keyless entry options on the 2013 years onward but i believe [??] that LR have introduced software upgrades to combat this... ... - .- -.

I used a DiskLok (steering wheel lock) on my Defender being in Central London, and just transferred that over to the L322 when I bought it a couple of weeks ago for added peace of mind.

I hope that acts as a visible enough deterrent that anyone thinking of trying to take the car needs some more serious equipment and a lot of noise to free it, and they'll move right along, or just steal whatever rubbish is in the glove box!
