I was just checking over the car this afternoon and noticed a small pipe was dangling under the air box. Looks like a vacuum pipe but I can’t work out where it should connect to. Anyone got any ideas? Circled red in the photo.

It is a 2010 3.6.

Have a look in the Wiki section for the 2010 workshop manual.

It'll tell you where the hose connects to.

Thanks Mike - I did have a look last night in the WM but couldn’t obviously see it identified (probably because I don’t know what it actually is for!)....will have another more careful look though.

I already have this downloaded - that was what I was looking through last night and couldn't find see the pipe referred to (hence the plea for help!). Going to have another look through it tonight though to see if I missed it though.

It is the 3.6 so that version of the WM does cover my engine.

I think you might be right Stan. Doesn't seem to be bringing up any fault codes or impacting on performance so can't be that important!

Maybe rename your post need help from 3.6 owners, they are a lovely , helpful bunch ( i used to be one ) 2015 4.4 AB

Stevie - thank you! You are spot on...I have now found it in the workshop manual, something to do with a port deactivation pipe. The reason it isn’t connected is that the plastic bit it is meant to connect to on the air box seems to have snapped off which is why I couldn’t see it before. Now just need to find a way to reconnect it!
